Shotgun range
MSA's Shotgun Range is a full-service facility conveniently located between Midland and Odessa (see map below). The clubhouse is open Wednesday thru Sunday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (weather permitting).
The range is equipped with:
Helice field
8 trap 5 Stand
Two 15 station Sporting Clays Courses (with 45- and 90-foot towers)
5 station sub-gauge Sporting Clays Course.
Everything is equipped with voice release systems so you can shoot solo if need be. We welcome all our members to come and enjoy the pleasure of clay target shooting in a safe and friendly shooting environment!
If you are new to clay target shooting and are unfamiliar with the different shooting disciplines, we will be more than happy to assist you and explain each of the shooting games so you can decide which you would prefer to shoot. Some have a greater degree of difficulty, but all are fun to shoot!
You are welcome to bring your own golf carts or ATVs to use on the sporting clay course, or you can rent a golf cart for $25.00. If you prefer to walk and need something to carry your gun and shells, the club rents push carts for $5.00. We believe our 5 Stand and Sporting Clay course, which are reconfigured regularly, are among the most challenging in West Texas.
Our members and their out-of-town guests can shoot 5-stand, trap or skeet for .30¢ per target. Members may bring guests from our surrounding shooting area; however, the guest will be charged .45¢ per target. Sporting clays prices are .40¢ per target for Non-members are 50. ¢ per target for their guests.
The range also sells shotgun shells (12, 20, 28, and 410) at very reasonable prices. MSA hosts NSCA, NSSA and ATA registered shoots as well as leagues and club shoots throughout the year, check the Event Calendar for dates and times.
It makes no difference if you are a novice, competitive shooter, or anywhere in between, we invite you to join us. If you are not hooked already, don’t be surprised if you become addicted to clay target shooting, it’s fun!
